2005 V-Rod versus 2006 Street Rod |

Great news! The Rods finally had their second child. They named him 'Street.' Only trouble is, he and his brother 'V' don't get along too well. Such sibling unrest is unusual for the normally tight-knit Harley families. The typical Harley family of bikes is a very similar set of siblings. Despite the cosmetic variances within each model family, be it Dyna, FX Softail, FL Softail, Sportster, or Electra Glide, the riding experience remains quite similar.
The same cannot be said for the brothers Rod. When these two go out to play together, Street gets bored cruising boulevards. V gets uncomfortable... [Read More]

I know my Father loved this site... was a member for awhile. He lived and loved his Vrod as much as he did his family. I am just now getting around to letting his internet connections / friends know.
If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at wendy.elsey@gmail.com

Harley-Davidson"s stripped-down Dark Custom collection aims for younger riders while taking a page from its past.
The Dark Custom bikes, which includes the Nightster, Night Rod Special, Night Train, Fat Bob, Street Bob and the new Cross Bones, takes vintage Harley-Davidson designs but removes the chrome and full fenders and blacks out the rims, engine assembly and handle bars. The result is a darker, grittier look that the company says has "deliberate under- and overtones of rebellious expression."
"Like previous generations of bikes, Dark Custom represents an attitude," says Paul James, director... [Read More]

2006 Harley-Davidson Street Rod Street Ride |

There are few things about which I have little doubt; 1) The Earth will keep rotating, thus causing the appearance of a "sunrise" tomorrow. 2) This story is going to generate a mighty flame war. Not exactly bold predictions, eh? In this case, a few flames might actually be warranted. However, before I start confusing the issue, let me set the record straight: The Harley-Davidson VRSCR StreetRod is one damned fine motorcycle and I had a ball riding it.
